Trauma Therapist Creating Space for Children, Teens and Adults
Helping clients feel more connected, accepting, calm, and self-compassionate.
You don’t need to have the words, just a sense that something’s not right.
Whether you’re overwhelmed by anxiety, exhausted by burnout, carrying grief, or struggling with something you can’t yet name, you’re welcome here. As a trauma therapist, I offer a steady, compassionate space for children, teens, and adults, including those who are neurodivergent.
I’m Helen, a calm, creative, and intuitive therapist. I listen not just to your words, but to what’s beneath them. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening in a way that feels safe, connected, and fully respectful of your pace.

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
Trauma and anxiety don’t look the same in everyone. For some, it shows up in panic or shutdown. For others, it’s a quiet sense of disconnection, self-doubt, or emotional fatigue. Whatever shape it takes for you, we’ll work gently and steadily with what’s here — no pressure to be anything other than yourself.
I take an integrative approach that supports the whole person. As a trauma therapist, that might include Internal Family Systems, EMDR, mindfulness-based tools, or creative therapeutic arts. I’m relational at heart, and lean into a person-centred way of working, soft and steady, but also honest and direct when that’s what’s needed.
Most of all, this is a collaborative process. Together, we’ll explore what feels safe, meaningful, and right for you, at your pace.

Children, Teens, Adults, and Parents
Each Deserving of Care
When everything feels too much, you’re not alone.

Whether you’re here for yourself or your child, reaching out is a powerful step. As a trauma therapist, I meet every client with warmth, creativity, and curiosity, whether you’re navigating anxiety, overwhelm, emotional shutdown, or something harder to name.
When a child is struggling, emotions can spill over in unexpected ways. Communication may break down. Behaviours may shift. Parents often feel helpless, ashamed, or unsure where to turn. But needing support doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it means you care deeply, and want something better.
With over 20 years of experience supporting children in schools and therapy, I offer a calm, creative space for healing and understanding. I work gently and collaboratively with children and their families to explore what’s happening beneath the surface, and to begin rebuilding confidence, connection, and emotional awareness, one steady step at a time.
“Healing doesn’t begin with fixing. It begins with being seen, being safe, and knowing you don’t have to do it alone.”

A Safe Place for Healing
I don’t believe in quick fixes. What I offer is something steadier and deeper:
- A therapeutic relationship built on trust and emotional presence
- A creative, integrative approach that meets each child or adult where they are
- A calm, grounded space where pain, numbness, or confusion can be explored without fear or judgement
As a trauma therapist, I draw on EMDR, polyvagal-informed methods, IFS, talk therapy, and creative arts such as drawing, sand tray, clay, and movement. These approaches support clients of all ages in finding relief, self-understanding, and new ways forward.
“Whether you’re an adult feeling overwhelmed or a parent quietly carrying unspoken emotional distress, therapy with me isn’t about labels or diagnoses. It’s about listening into the essence of who you are, and helping you feel safe enough to heal.”
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Some families come to me when things feel as if they’re reaching a breaking point. Others arrive simply wanting a space where their child can be seen, heard, and supported without pressure. Many adults come quietly, worn down by anxiety, grief, or overwhelm, often after trying to cope alone for far too long.
Wherever you find yourself, you’re welcome here. As a trauma therapist, my role is to offer steadiness, presence, and creative ways forward, not to push, but to walk alongside you.
Clients often describe our work together as liberating, timely, and life-changing. They talk about feeling safe, supported, and gently empowered, sometimes for the first time in years. Parents tell me they leave sessions feeling less alone, more hopeful, and better able to support their children with love and clarity.

Therapy for Trauma and Anxiety
Rebuilding Trust and Feeling Safe Again When you have lived through trauma or carried anxiety for a long time, the idea of feeling safe can feel almost impossible. Trauma is not just about what happened, it is about what remains. The body remembers even when the mind wants to move forward. Anxiety adds another layer,
